Real estate developer has big plans for Uptown Charleston

According to one local developer, the revitalization of Uptown Charleston is likely to continue for the next several years. Evening Post Publishing Co. owns almost 12 acres of land near the city's peninsula, where commercial and residential real estate is already under development. The company plans to use its land to continue redevelopment in this part of town.

A spokesperson for Evening Post Publishing indicated that they plan to use the next decade to develop their land into more commercial and residential property. This is very exciting news for South Carolina residents who are interested in entering the real estate market, since it is an indication that developers are regaining confidence in the growth of local markets.

The company in question also owns a local newspaper, so they may have plans to include the newspaper's offices in the redevelopment plan.

Even though these real estate developers have been considering plans for at least six years, there may still be major considerations and legal questions that must be addressed before they move forward with their plans.

A project of this size, spanning nearly 12 acres, is going to require careful thought by the developers. Well-intentioned plans to move forward with a project of this magnitude can come to a complete halt if acreage issues are not resolved before construction begins. If issues do arise during this process, they can be resolved with reliable and knowledgeable advice.

The hope is that this announcement will inspire other local developers or entrepreneurs to continue commercial real estate development in Charleston.
