Rock n' roll mansion seller gets big residential real estate sale

If you're trying to sell your home in South Carolina, you might find this house's sale interesting. According to the news from March 23, the residential real estate market recently saw a rock n' roll mansion go up for sale in St. Petersburg, Florida. The home belonged to Brent Bruns II, a reality TV star, who had been working on filming "Doomsday Castle" in South Carolina for National Geographic. He was reportedly not at the sale, because he was anxious about how much his collection of rock collectibles and other items would sell for.

According to the news, the star decided to sell this home in Florida, which he had used as a rock n' roll bed and breakfast, because of poor management. He claimed that tenants did not pay on time, and mismanagement hurt the business. The once-short-term rental property was auctioned off, according to reports, because it was full of collectibles and electronics that he hoped would sell enough for him to have a new start. With the funds from the sale, he's hoping to go into aquaponics, according to the news.

The house, which was a 42,000-square-foot mansion, was auctioned after buyers arrived. They were taken through the 1910 mansion to view all the paraphernalia and items inside, and then those pieces were sold. Most people who wanted the property had planned to knock down the home and the two bungalows on the property; they had permission from the city to build four townhouses, which might have been a good buy for developers.

However, the home didn't go to a developer at all. A businessman who lived down the street purchased the home for $427,000. He had seen the house inside and out before, and he believes that he'll keep it just as it is for now. He has said he isn't sure what he'll do with it in the future, but he wants to keep it standing.
